Swedish massage is the most common and best-known type of massage in the West. If it's your first time getting a massage, Swedish massage is the perfect massage for you.
Deep-tissue massage is a specific type of massage therapy that concentrates on the deep layers of muscle and fascia in the body.
Oncology massage is a massage that has been adapted to any and all effects of cancer, the way it has affected the body. The massage is also modified based on side effects of treatment, whether from chemotherapy, surgery, or radiation, both short term and long term. The focus is therapeutic and restorative..
Goal Oriented Massage is a therapeutic approach to managing client discomfort, pain, or other chronic condition. It uses soft tissue and health assessment, along with clinical reasoning skills to develop a safe and effective treatment plan for the client. This form of massage usually consists of combining Neuromuscular Therapy, trigger point and MyoFascial Release along with standard relaxing massage techniques. These techniques can also be incorporated into a wellness massage session.
One hour goal/focused treatment session to improve the range of motion and mobility of feet
Stretching allows the body to repair itself and also to prepare for daily activity.
Neuromuscular Therapy By definition, Neuromuscular Therapy is the utilization of static pressure on specific myofascial points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body (muscles, tendons and connective tissue) to balance the central nervous system. In a healthy individual, nerves transmit impulses (which are responsible for every movement, function and thought) to the body very slowly. Injury, trauma, postural distortion or stress cause nerves to speed up their transmission, inhibiting equilibrium and making the body vulnerable to pain and dysfunction. Neuromuscular Therapy massage works to stabilize low levels of neurological activity to maintain normal function and overall health.

Massage Policies and Procedures
It is my intention to provide clients with a professional and therapeutic massage. The following policies and procedures serve as a guide for first time and regular massage clients. I understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone’s life. Unforeseen events can cause one to cancel a massage appointment.
I am committed to providing a unique and outstanding massage experience to all clients and out of consideration I have adopted some policies and procedures.
Arrival To Your Massage
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled starting time. This allows you time to prepare for the session. I cannot accommodate early or late arrivals. All sessions have a scheduled start and stop time. I never want you to feel hurried.NEW clients only are to arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled starting time to fill out client forms.
I require a 24 hour notice to cancel a treatment. If a client fails to cancel within 24 hours for ANY reason a cancellation fee is charged at the FULL session amount. A confirmation text is sent as a courtesy and a reply is requested. This notice gives me enough time to fill the slot. This also respects everyone’s time. I am happy to work with you to find the time that fits into your schedule for you to choose.
Late Arrival Policy
Late arrivals will not receive an extension of the scheduled appointment. The original treatment time will be charged.
No Show Policy
Clients that fail to show for appointments will not be rescheduled.
Prior to each massage session, the treatment plan will be discussed with you. At your first visit with me you will receive a copy of the massage policies and procedures. You will be asked to sign the consent stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the professional massage therapy policies and procedures. Clients who I have not seen for at least a year will also be asked to fill out this form.
Scope of Practice
Massage therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client.
Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions nor are they allowed to provide treatment for a specific condition without a doctor’s supervision. The massage therapist is required to refer you for a diagnosis and to follow recommendations of your physician.
Respect For Client Needs And Boundaries
I am always happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume, work longer on an area or move on if you request it.
The client may choose to leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time and is free to leave.
The client will always be draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. The clients will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.
Occasionally, an emotional response to massage occurs. If this happens, it is ok to express the feelings in a safe, nonjudgmental environment-or you may request privacy and end the session. You are in control.
Requests for sexual activity will NOT be tolerated, will be viewed as solicitation, and reported to the proper authorities under the guidelines of the massage therapy policies and procedures. The client will not be rescheduled if this occurs.
The breast and genital area will not be massaged under any circumstances. Permission will be asked before working close to those areas: otherwise, a professional distance will be maintained. Also, low back, hip and gluteal area will be massaged only with permission and can be worked through the draping if requested.
Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate.
I do not massage anyone under the age of 18.
Confidentiality And Conversation
The discussion between the massage therapist and the client is confidential. The client may or may not choose to talk during the massage. I am happy to listen to your conversation and share my professional expertise.
Existing And New Medical Conditions
It is the responsibility of the client to keep the massage therapist informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc. that the massage may be continued. The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of ANY changes in health conditions.
